3 Dimensional Printing of PLA Scaffolds for Medical Applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
Scaffolds encourage the new tissue formation through biological substitution of damaged or lost tissues. Therefore, scaffold characteristics become more important and should be precisely controlled. Production scaffolds using a three dimensional (3d) printer appears as promising method in terms enabling homogeneous pore distribution uniform size arrangement. In this study, polylactic acid (PLA) structures were obtained 3d printing, based on design parameters such geometry, porosity (%), shape, size, interconnectivity. An open source computer-aided (CAD) program (Interface Scaffold) was employed to PLA scaffolds. Scaffold with ~72% generated 3D Systems Cube 2nd Generation printer. The have been optimized by software tool, which includes different unit cells, i.e. Schwartz P, D, Gyroid, Skeletal (1-4), Neovius W (iWP) for designing mathematical formulations. It found out that mean 3d-printed Gyroid cell vary between 1.9 mm ~4.54 according microstructural observations done scanning electron microscope (SEM).
